For the Sauce:
Instructions
1. Marinating the Chicken:
- In a large bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add the chicken pieces to the bowl, ensuring they’re fully coated in the marinade.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results
2. Preparing the Coating:
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, and black pepper.
- Mix the coating ingredients thoroughly.
3. Coating the Chicken:
- Remove the marinated chicken from the fridge and let it come to room temperature.
- Preheat your frying oil in a deep fryer or a large, heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Take each piece of chicken from the marinade and allow excess liquid to drip off.
- Dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure it’s coated evenly. Press the flour onto the chicken to create a good coating.
4. Frying the Chicken:
- Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the preheated oil, a few at a time, making sure not to overcrowd the pot.
- Fry the chicken for about 12-15 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces, until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove the chicken from the oil and place them on a wire rack or paper towels to drain any excess oil.
5. Saucing the Chicken:
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the fried chicken pieces with Tip32 Sauce. Coat the chicken evenly with the sauce.
6. Serving:
- Transfer the sauced crispy fried chicken to a serving platter.
- Serve the delicious Saucy Crispy Fried Chicken with your favorite sides and extra sauce for dipping.
